Become a SAWA Video Journalist
SAWA Video Journalists are those who have some video experience and a passion to document short videos of inspiring projects done by local leaders – “SAWA Heroes” - in the world’s 50 poorest countries. SAWA Video Journalists can be amateur or professional videographers and are generally from the 50 SAWA countries. A SAWA Video Journalist will be screened for the following six criteria:
1. Lives in one of the 50 SAWA countries (*) 2. Has some understanding of and training in video production 3. Has knowledge of website uploading techniques of video clips 4. Can access computer, internet and editing software and technology 5. Has a basic verbal and written knowledge of English 6. Has identified a potential SAWA Hero and can submit several pictures of their project * SAWA Video Journalists from non-SAWA countries are welcome to apply. They will have a chance to assist with special projects and video projects that need post-production assistance.
