We focus on presenting proven SOLUTIONS, rather than the problems, to solve the world’s critical challenges of poverty, diseases control and environmental degradation.

We are here to involve you in actions for global change and here is how:
•  Submit a story if you need support for your project or want to nominate a “story of hope”.
•  Watch the profiled videos and other information on the “stories of hope and get inspired.
•  Choose how you want to change the world TODAY by selecting your favored actions to
   support the “stories of hope” via ACTION Flash.
•  Become a SAWA Journalist and help us identify the unknown heroes of the world.

4. What is a “story of hope”?
The “stories of hope” are extraordinary actions/ projects initiated by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations and/or individuals from the 50 poorest countries in the world.

A story of hope provides practical and long-term solutions for one or more of the SAWA Theme Areas including - poverty, disease control and environmental sustainability.

The stories of hope are selected on several extraordinary characteristics as follows:
1. The level of hope and inspiration that the project promotes;
2. The amount of local people that are positively affected by the project;
3. The practical and long-term suitability to resolve one or more of the SAWA Theme Areas;
4. The level of ease by which the general public can assist the project; and
5. The quality of the visual images.

6. What countries do we focus on?
We focus on “stories of hope” from the 50 poorest countries of the world. However, projects from other developing countries will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

7. How do you submit a story?
You can submit your story to us via an online application or a printable application to be emailed or send via mail to the SAWA Global office in Vancouver, Canada.
